LiveWell Colorado is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Armijo as Vice President of Strategy & Impact. The position prioritizes the alignment of LiveWell’s programming, policy, and promotional strategies to address critical barriers to health equity as identified by data and community partners throughout Colorado. The position will build upon LiveWell’s existing efforts around evaluation, community engagement, and advocacy.
Chris’ experience as a public health professional—with expertise in health equity at national, state, and local levels—make him a key addition to the team. He brings knowledge and a diverse set of perspectives in epidemiology, community-based participatory research, and organizational capacity building for equity, health care, evaluation, policy, and philanthropy. In addition, he has served on a number of boards including Susan G. Komen Colorado, the Colorado Public Health Association, and as the Chair of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Health Equity Commission. Chris has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Colorado at Denver.
“This position offers an exciting opportunity for me to play an integral role in improving the health of Coloradans by removing barriers to healthy eating and active living for low-income communities and people of color,” Chris says.
