CanDo (Coalition for Activity and Nutrition to Defeat Obesity) is an umbrella organization that serves as a health leader in Loveland and Fort Collins.
CanDo Loveland started in 2008 as an initiative that grew out of the successes of CanDo Fort Collins. The mission of CanDo Loveland is to engage community members and organizations in obesity prevention through advocacy and education. Its vision is to create a model community that supports healthy eating and active living.
The coalition’s stated goals are to reduce the prevalence of obesity and increase physical activity and healthy eating habits. Key components to reaching these goals include a dynamic partnership with Thompson School District to implement the Coordinated School Health Model (furthering healthy eating and active living) and providing technical assistance to the city of Loveland.
